Remembering the Freedom Rides

As a featured event in the Virginia Film Festival, the Center for Politics will host a screening of Stanley Nelson’s “Freedom Riders” at the Martin Luther King Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School.  Your students may attend for FREE by contacting Virginia Film Festival Outreach Coordinator Jane Freeman at janefreeman@virginia.edu or 434.823.4221.  Freedom Riders is a powerful documentary chronicling the journey of over 400 black and white Americans who challenged the Jim Crow laws with non-violent activism.
