Introducing YLI 2.0
The Youth Leadership Initiative is proud to announce the launch of YLI 2.0, our new website that will make accessing and using all of YLI’s programming easier and more efficient. The UVA Center for Politics collaborated with Intalgent to design and create a site that promises to be more user-friendly and that will allow registered educators greater flexibility with YLI programming. Exciting new changes include:
- The ability to access your account immediately after registering
- A Mock Election Anytime feature that allows educators to hold an election at any point during the school year.
- An E-Congress Anytime features that provides access to the E-Congress interface making it possible to hold a classroom session at any time during the academic year.
- A Related Civics Links page that will give you access to other valuable civic education resources.
- An online Political Ideology Survey that you can use with your students.
Going live on October 1st, the new YLI website has been designed with feedback from our educators. New features such as the online political survey and mock election anytime are a direct result of teacher reviews and comments. As always, the YLI site and its many programs are available to registered teachers FREE of charge. Registered teachers can update their profiles using the new interface to inform YLI of position changes, new addresses and outdated email accounts.
YLI’s new website makes it even easier to get your students “in the game!” Logon to www.youthleadership.net beginning on Friday, October 1st to see the new changes. Staff will be on hand by email, ylihelp@virginia.edu or toll-free, 1.866.514.8389 to assist teachers with the new site.
